http://allafrica.com/stories/201203190539.html Namibia: Crocodile Kills Again in Kavango 19 March 2012 A 33-year-old woman was killed by a crocodile at Karayi village situated west of Rundu on Friday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Anneli Litemba, a resident of Karayi village. She was the fourth person to die in a crocodile attack since the beginning of this year. Police Deputy Commissioner Willie Bampton said Litemba was caught by the crocodile while she was fishing in the Okavango River. Her remains were recovered on the same day. On February 23 this year, a 13-year-old girl from Angola was admitted to the Rundu State Hospital after she was attacked by a crocodile at Damu Damu village on the Angolan side of the Okavango River. The crocodile apparently let go of the girl after a lengthy battle in which villagers tried hard to scare it off. Earlier this month, two people died and one was injured when a hippo attacked their canoe while they were crossing the Okavango River from the Angolan village of Nkonke.
