I believe it's still open in private areas like the Tuli Blocks.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

There is a drawing system for private landowners. The available quota is distributed on a drawing basis and when you draw a permit you go to the back of the lines.

If you are interested in a hunt, PM me

Contact Clive Eaton directly....Tholo Safaris, he has some of the best leopard hunting available in Botswana, as well as fine plains game in the Kalahari.

And he is one of the nicest guys you will meet. Done it twice with Clive and it is a great hunt.

Clive recently said that Leopard hunting will only be on private land due to changes in government regulations. Not sure when this goes into effect.

I hunted with Tholo in 2009 and had a wonderful time but Leopard hunts with them were INSANELY expensive at $35K +. Sure you hunt with Kalahari trackers but you have to use a shotgun.

You could shoot a bull elephant, buffalo, and leopard in other countries for that kind of money!
