| I have the Zeiss Victory 2.5-10 x 50. German #4 with illumination. It's hella nice. You could pay a little more for a scope, but not much.

| I like my Swaro 1.7-10 Z6i with a #4 reticle.
The 2-12 required higher rings, and while it worked OK, it required that I put a pad on the comb to get a good cheek weld. |

Zeiss, Swarovski, and Schmidt & Bender are all top rate...take a look at all three and see what your eye likes best. I tried a Schmidt & Bender Zenith last year and will purchase another this year. I understand they are going to offer a 1-8 but a bigger objective may be needed with cats. |
