That's what I would do if I had those rifles; take them both to Africa, find a nice bar, buy them a couple of drinks and listen to the stories. Then I'd take them out into the bush and shoot something like a 60" kudu or a 40" eland.

jens, I too would take them both.

I love rifles and find them to be far more personal and significant to me than any other tools.

Good hunting and good shooting in RSA!

Please be sure to post a report.

Those sound like two VERY fine traveling companions....

Any chance of some photos?

The original Rigbymauser must especially be quite special!

Sure!

Here in the end of April next year, I am heading to ZA for PG hunting. My first trip really. I just bought this rigbymauser here little over 12 days ago, and I had planned to begin with the .333 should go, but now when the .Rigby also came into the picture a little dilemma appeared. Confused
Both calibers shoot the same weight bullet(+-10grain) and both calibers does allmost the same in velocity aswell.
Pg hunt with Andrew Mclaren Safaris for 10-12 days is what is about to be planned and sceduled. dancing

Take the one you'd miss the least if it were lost/stolen/damaged by the baggage handlers!

This is like choosing between the blond and the brunette playmate! I've wrestled with your question for a minute, and I honestly can't come to a conclusion.

I say you flip a coin to decide.

If you must take one, then take the one that fits you best and the one that you can shoot the best.

Unfortunately, the only person that can answer the question is you.
