Seemed lika a concensus that Wally Dallenbachs show was not up par to show African hunting. What do you good people think of Jack? Personally I think he is one of the best hunters on TV.

Nice fellow. I have meet him at shows a couple of times and he seems to be straight up. His DVD's are well worth the price. I would be interested to hear from any who have hunted with him in Tanzania this season. Global Sportsmen Outfitters, LLC Bob Cunningham 404-802-2500

I like Brittingham's shows, he seems to be a real-type hunter. ____________________________ .470 & 9.3X74R Chapuis' Tikka O/U 9.3X74R Searcy Classics 450/.400 3" & .577 C&H .375 2 1/2" Krieghoff .500 NE Member Dallas Safari Club

I haven't watched much of Brittingham on TV, but I recently bought his DVD of "The Quest for Mongolian Argalis" and it is great. One thing that strikes me about Jack is that he really appreciates the animals he hunts. On the Mongolian DVD, he packs his argali hide and horns up the mountain, doesn't rely on the guide or assistants. He doesn't just promote products, he hunts because he loves to hunt, or so it seems.

I have his 3 volume African hunting DVDs. They are very well done and I feel I would enjoy hunting with him. I can't say that about too many I have seen on TV or DVDs. It's also nice he sells them at a reasonable price. Not like some people that sell their DVDs for $50 bucks a pop (Mark Sullivan) because they think they are solid F*&^ing gold!! Die Ou Jagter - I take it from your comment you don't like the fact that Jack B. uses a bow and arrow for most of his hunting? Don't bad mouth a fellow hunters way of doing things. I have taken over 250 head of big game with a bow in the last 44 years, including 17 African species and have lost only 3 to the wound and loss factor. I also hunt with a rifle so this is not a bow vs. gun issue with me. I personally know lots of rifle hunters who wound and lose that many animals, (3) each year!! Not to start a pi$$ing contest, but it's comments like yours that continue to divide hunters when we should all be pulling in the same direction. Maybe it's just a little jeaously on your part that you haven't/can't accomplish the degree of success that Jack has with his bow. Try to give credit where credit is due and let each and everyone here choose their choice of weaponery. I agree that Jack B produces some quality videos and his show is one of the best out there. Larry, as a non bow hunter I prefer to see hunting programs done with rifles as the circumastances bettrer relate to what I would be doing while hunting. I applaude you for working at bow hunting and not losing game due to poor shot selection. I refer to arrows as fester sticks because I found too many dead white tails with festered wounds caused by arrows. In my opinion (only my my opinion) there are too many bow hunters that do not practice enough, yes the same can be said of rifle hunters but not to the extent of bow hunters. Jack is a superb hunter andI am only jelous to the extent I wish I could do the hunts he does. I have many of his videos and they were not given to me I purchased them. I still wish he would do more with rifle. I love his hunt for Mt Nyala video it had real things happening, ie empty rifle. So no

Outside the fact that Jack is rich, and can hunt any place he wants, any time he wants, he is a typical Texas kid that grew up hunting every day after school, from an early age! He hunts because he loves to hunt, be it doves on a stock tank, or a Cape Buffalo in the long grass! The fact that he has found a way to make money at it as well, is his good fortune. Like some others a lot of his hunting is with stick, and string, and that doesn't interest me, though I've done pleanty bow hunting myself. I only have one of his DVDs, Tanzania Quest, and it was an enjoyable film, unfortunently it went bad on me. Jack lives only about 40 miles from me, and hunts this area as well. I think he'd hunt 24/7 if there was something to hunt! ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

DOJ - At least we both agree on the facts that too many "hunters" don't practice enough and take shots outside their skill levels and that Jack makes good videos. The fact that he hunts with both bow and rifle gives everyone something to watch. Larry Sellers
