Does anyone know whether Cabelas and Bass Pro Shop have opened stores in Reno yet? From the internet it is Cabelas: Yes and Bass Pro: No. Is this still the case? Johan

Cabelas is open. They are out by Boomtown. Not sure about Bass Pro. There is also a Sportsman's Warehouse just down the road from the convention center

Cabela's in Reno has been open for about a year, I think. Bass Pro shops opened a store in Rancho Cucamunga 3-4 months ago. Their Manteca store opens in 2008 and the Bakersfield store is scheduled to open in 2009. Cabela's people were in town (Bakersfield, CA) last September doing measurements and traffic studies on Hwy 58 and General Beale Rd. area. That's about 4 miles out of downtown- right on the freeway that goes to Tehachapi, Mojave, etc. Bass Pro will be at Hwy 99 and Houghton in 2009. Maybe Cabela's will be close behind. Hoping so. I took this off Cabela's webiste: Store Location Information Reno, NV: Opened November 16, 2007 That would be great if they opened one in CA. I can’t believe they haven't done it yet. Bass Pro was supposed to open their Manteca store a while ago, but Cabelas has the best gear by far.
