We have some unsold quota in our LU5 concession in the Selous for this year and in order to move this quota along we are offering anyone booking a 10 day 2 buffalo hunt a 14 day license. The 14 day license effectively doubles the number of huntable species on a 10 day buffalo hunt so instead of having only 7 total animals you would have 14. These would include such desirable additional species as bushbuck, waterbuck and crocodile.

Price:

10 DAYS 1X1 $14,900, 2x1 $11,900, Companion hunt rate $7500(allows you to legally split the bag). Everything is included in the price other than trophy fees, gratuities, hotels as necessary and charter.

Trophy fees:

1st buff..................$1200
2nd buff..................$1500
Babbon.....................$200
Bushbuck...................$600
Bushpig....................$400
Crocodile.................$1500
Hartebeest.................$750
Hyena......................$400
Impala.....................$450
Reedbuck...................$550
Warthog....................$550
Waterbuck..................$800
Wildebeest.................$750
Zebra......................$950

Charter...................$2450 RT We will try to organize a shared charter wherever possible.

Contact me anytime for with questions.

jorge,

Don't forget his helmet with face mask in case he has on of his "fits". He'll also need some ramps in the cruiser for the electric cart.

Mark,

What are the dates available?

Shootaway,

There are good buffalo and lots of buffalo in LU5 but if you see a nice hard headed 38" bull you should shoot it.

surestrike,

We have Aug/Sept dates open which would be perfect as the grass would be down but it would not uncomfortably hot yet.

As with all our hunts you would have area and camp exclusivity for the duration of your hunt.

jorge,

We treat all our clients like they were special.

Mark,
Helluva deal but after my last trip I am afraid this one would also cost me half of my community assets as well if I tried to pull it off this year!

You gotta watch Mark, when I hunted with him he made me sleep with his dog, got me drunk, and there wasn't enough food so we had to go to the grocery store every day, and after all that, he made me shoot a moose that is so big it won't go in my house. clap dancing

Jerry,

I tend to treat all freeloading taxidermist rudely. In seriousness that was a great hunt and the best sendoff we could have had on our leaving Alaska. Heck you even shot well. Almost!

CRAP! I would have given a body part for that deal last year, just for the opportunity at a croc!!!!!!!

Always a day late and a dollar short,
Canuck

ps: Here are a couple buff from LU5 last year by Don_G and I...not the biggest that were taken on that concession (by a longshot), but decent buff nonetheless....

Just for my own planning and education, is about $1500 a day the going daily rate for a DG hunt?

Peter,

$14900 is the price for this hunt but a short buffalo hunt can be had in some areas for a litte over half as much. Depending on country, area, trophy quality and an assortment of other factor the prices can vary wildly.

Thanks Lorenzo! I am pretty darn happy with mine. Smiler

Here is one of my favorite pics from that trip...taken in the afternoon on Day 1 as we were bluff "charged" by this bull (we were in the truck fortunately). We spotted buffalo just a few minutes later and put the stalk on them. I shot the buff above a few hours later, just at dark and only about 500m away from where that bull ele was!!

Cheers,
Canuck

Mark,

Is the base rate $22,400 for hunter and the companion sharing the bag and $23,800 for a 2 x 1?

John,

That is exactly right. A 2x1 is a better deal in my book than the 1X1 with a Companion Hunt. For $1400 more in total cost you get to hunt 4 buffalo plus 2 of all the rest of the game available. Where with the 1x1 and Companion you are just splitting the one 14 day license.
