yavapaiapache, I don't have much hunting experience. I've only used the Woodleighs on one hunt. I used the 220gr .308 caliber Woodleigh round nose bullets in a .30-06 on a plains game hunt in South Africa in 2002. I was very pleased with their performance. The more experienced users here can comment on their experience with Woodleighs better than I can. That said, the Woodleighs are a bonded core bullet. They've been on the market way before the recent Accubonds, Interbonds, etc. The Woodleighs have an excellent reputation, especially in Africa and Australia. (Woodleighs are made in Australia.) I would say that they are one of the finest hunting bullets on the market. Hopefully some of the more experienced posters will add their comments. I used the round nose and protected point 250 grain bullets in my .338 during a 2001 hunt in Zim. The bullets all performed perfectly. Each recovered bullet looks like a small button mushroom. I'll take a picture and post it this weekend. Sk+3

I doubt that there is a better bullet around that a Woodleigh...I have used them in a lot of calibers for many years and only seen one fail and thats because it cut itself into on a Buffs teeth, half went out the back of the jaw and into the shoulder about 10 inches under the skin, and the other half went right down his gullet..A .500 gr. .470...It really pi$$ed old Mbogo off and I stopped my first charge with a 404 solid in the nose...That would have split any bullet IMO..... I love the 320 gr. 9.3x62 bullet at 2350 FPS in a 26" barrel, the 300 gr. RN .338, the 350 gr. PP or RN 375 and the 450 gr. RN 416 Rem. all from Woodleigh and I have shot buffalo with all of these with excellent results. You can't go wrong with a Woodleigh, its as fool proof as any bullet on the market, but any bullet made by man can fail on rare ocassion...

At the Swedish bransch of Midway, Midwaysverige, one box of 50 of these bullets costs the equivalent of $ 66.00, and Midway in USA don't ship to Sweden for obvious reasons. Hope they rot. /Martin
