We are getting too excited!

My youngest son Alex and I are off to Malapati in a week. We have high hopes of tangling with one of those big, grey toothy critters that haunt that corner of the world.

Alex is queued up for buff and plainsgame. A big jumbo is tops on my list, then switching to lion if successful in the Ivory department. There is also leopard on quota - if Diana would only be so kind.

My boy is missing two weeks of eighth grade - somehow I think he will survive. My best buddy John is heading down Sunday. I hope he pops a buff just like the brute he shot last time. He too is looking for jumbo, and I hope he gets a big one early. Although truthfully, I hope it is almost as big as mine. As I am sure he wishes the same for me.

If all goes well, we should have a post up the second week of March.

Best of luck to those of you who are heading out to the promised lands - Kill Big!

That's great Jack! I am excited for you, but more so for your son. What a great reason to miss school!

Jack,

Your excitement and anticipation can be felt!

Please may you have the guts, and trust in your PH, to pass up on the first big one you see. Then my wish is that you have the good luck to see and get a really BIG one!

In good hunting.

Jack, best of luck to you and John. Can't wait to see the report. As you know I will be hunting Jumbo with Nixon one year from today. I assume that JJ got the Heym problem sorted out.
