Dang, I should have checked this site before I went to the show. I met Martin and discussed his camera. Guys, he's quite the salesman....but still a nice guy. Is there such a thing? LOL...JK Martin.
It was a pleasure meeting you. Heck if I'd have known you were a member here I would have talked more. I'm the guy that was inquiring about the camera set up to mount on my float plane and doing low level video. I liked the remote aspect of the camera.
Hope the show goes well for you.

Just returned home from the Eastern Sports Show. There were many buyers there this year. Many of the African outfitters were selling hunts. I know one sold 2 elephants and a lion also. another buf hunts and so on and RSA hunts were also selling.
Yea tire kickers but buyers also.

I spent most of the weekdays at booth number 6123 with my friend Joachim Brand (Nhosab Hunting Safaris) from Namibia. I did have a few nice visits with AR members. One day, Retreever stopped by ane EJ's lovely wife, Beth, also visited with us. Sorry I missed this thread before the show. This is really a busy time of the year for us. Perhaps next year a bunch of us can get together for lunch or somesuch.

My friend Tom booked a Cape buffalo hunt for this coming June, and it looks like my wife and I will be going along. My plan is to observe, take photos, and write a story about the hunt for Tom.

Most of my money I spent on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted

I am back in the office, YUCK ! Hey it pays the bills. WWhunter, sorry we didn't know about each other on AR. I usually talk about AR to everyone I meet. That is how I met EJ. Maybe I should quit talking so much rotflmo Just kidding, EJ is a great guy. Retreever will have to tell the story of how he ran Michael Waddell out of my booth when he came to spend some time with me. EJ warned me about Retreever! Just joking, it was great meeting the AR members that stopped by. I will post the list tomorrow.
Doing a couple of Radio shows this weekend, then off to Detroit 23-27 Feb.

WWhunter, I went back and read your post carefully. I do remember you and talking about the float plane. I have lost sleep over how to mount it. We need to talk about that. I have ideas. I flew the coptercam the last 2 days at Hburg. I will be posting the vids to youtube and post a link.

Martin , Sent you another PM

Mike , We all thought you went to Africa ?
What's up with that ?

I can not believe some of the specials from Africa going on at that show. One common thread was that most were offering that the child could hunt for free on parents fees.

I wished I would have checked this out before I went. I love the show. I went Saturday (2/5) and Tuesday (2/8). I did stop by Agarob Hunting Safaris and talked to them. They are a lot of fun.

Next year, I will check here before I head up.
