Johnny Schickerling of Agarob Safaris in Namibia specializes in horseback hunts. Great guy, and very straight up. He has a website.

I've been told a new outfitting company called "Trophy Trackers Africa" is being formed now, and one of its divisions will offer horseback hunts in South Africa and Botswana. It also will offer hunts in Mozambique, but not from horseback. Its website, www.trophytrackersafrica.com is under construction, but should be operating in a few weeks.

There's a great horseback hunt on Monduli Mountain in Masailand you can get thru TGT. I've hunted up there for bushbuck and saw cape buffalo up in the mountain rainforest.

I've always thought that horesback hunting in lion country would be kind of like being the pizza in a delivery truck.

Just make sure your horse is not called "Dominio"???
