This maybe the wrong section to ask these questions, but i didn't know where else to post them.

I plan to come to the U.S for the SCI show in Reno,do i need to be a member of SCI to go to the show?? we do have a chapter here in New Zealand,i'm not a memeber.

How much do tickets cost for the show ??? U.S dollars.

Are there any other hunting shows on in the U.S within a week or so of Reno.

Thanks James

1) Yes you must be a member. You can join at the door for about $55. It is better to join early as you will get all the propaganda and some discount options on hotels.

2) Single day tickets are about $100. Multi day passes are discounted.

3) The shows are more or less back to back with Dallas being very popular.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Big Show, how many days are you planning? The Convention is huge, for a 1st time visit it will be very hard to see everything in 1 day.Yes it is costly besides $100 for each day if you plan on going to the dinners where the auctions will be going on another $100. Many other events ib Reno at the same time, a big Knife show and a gun engravers show.
