I flew out a month ago and had no problems with only the things you have. It was a breeze, with everything checked straight through from ATL to Windhoek. As Mike said, if you spend the night the situation changes.

I know there have been some posts on this but is it still possible to check your rifle straight through to Namibia and avoid all the hassel in J'berg? I'm leaving from ATL this thursday and want to avoid any problems I can. My PH has faxed me a letter of intent that states I will be hunting with him for plains game, and I've got my US Customs form to get my rifle back in the US, and that's all I have. Do I need anything else? If anyone has any travel advice, lay it on me. I'm not worried about the hunting part, I just want to get there with all my gear and the least amount of headache. Thanks.
