I have a friend going to Africa on a fun little trip.
I gave him the address to this website and told him to post any questions here.
All I know is this...

I am taking a 300 weatherby mag and either a 22-250 or a 243.
I hope to not use either of them.

I am in the Concrete construction buisiness and just pour flatwork.

These guys that are taking me have been good friends of mine for about 25 years. They are taking my Brother also and flying us over in first class both directions.

We will be hunting, Cape Kudu, Gemsbuck/Oryx, mtn. Reed Buck, Duiker or Steen Buck, either a blue or a black Wildebeest, Burchells Zebra or a Hartebeest, two spring bucks and two blesbucks.

Any help and info is appreciated.
This friend is the one that helped me get my moose this past season, so I need to help him any way I can.
Thanks guys!

he will be taking his bow, but also a rifle or two just in case things don't work out.

Tell your buddy to put in order what he wants the worst and what he feels he must take with a bow.

If he's going after Blesbok I assume he's most likely going to RSA or Namibia.

I don't know what the question is...but the answer is don't look a gift horse in the mouth!!

If he wants a primer, we have a little article called "Trips and Travel Advice" for first timers, posted on our website bigfivehq.com, under the safaris section.

Mountain reedbuck and Gemsbok don't overlap much, unless they are transplants. sounds like he is going to the Eastern Cape!!
