Well, you would think that once the croc was being yanked around that it would have known it was time to let go. That croc definitely got caught in the hook of that bull's horn. I believe it was on TV just the other day there were some pictures shown of a mid-size croc crawling across the backs of a group of tightly packed hippos. One of the bull hippos took offense and bit down hard on it at the neck and shoulders and killing it.
