He sent an E mail to Bob Harper of Outdoor Visons saying he would not be buying any more hunting DVD's etc. due to medical reasons so that is all I know.
Does not sound good. I hope I am wrong.

Maybe someone living in that part of the world can check up on him for all of us. I know that when AR member Eric Ching (Ching Sling fame) died, most of us did not know about it for a number of months. Not saying the CCH is near death, but it would be nice to know what's going on.

Hi there, and thanks for the concern.

For sure I will die (everybody will), but my condition is not what will kill me, at least not from what my doctor told me Wink

What has happend is that I have been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome and ADD, suspicions came up about a year ago when reading stories about people that find out about it as adults. After a lot of investigation I got the diagnose about 8 month ago.

Both of them are disorders and for a quick explanation see here about asperger and add

Everybody that have meet me would say that it has not affected me and I am energic so the best thing would be to go on as before, but for me that is not an option. Seeing that these disorders has created a lot of problems, mostly for myself and my family, not seen if you are not very close, I see the knowledge as a possibility to start living a life as good as I can.

With this in mind I have realized that running my own business (mainly in the textile area and on the side in hunting) is not gonna work for the future. I have had to shut those down.

So what I do now is trying to relax as much as possible and find out more about myself. Which also means that I try to start everything back from scratch again to see what works for me and what is not working.

One thing that I found to work very well is wildlife photography were I can relax a lot in the nature, and another thing that is not working at the moment is beeing active on various forums, since that is giving me to much stress to be up to date all the time, hense my absense here....

I hope that was not to personal for the forum, but I thought that best way of killing a rumour is to talk about the truth.

And before anyone feels sorry for me, I must say that to have the facts has been as winning the lottery, finally I know what I have not understood before.....

Thanks for taking your time reading.

Christer

Christer,
The best possible way of approaching life is with your head high and a positive attitude. Regardless of afflictions, our outlook, with regards to mental well being, should not be altered.
You really are going about this the right way and with you're attitude you've got some quality living ahead of you.
Good luck with you new direction.

Best of luck. I've had family members with OCD, which is often treated by the same professionals. Seems most with such issues, including my family, are very creative people. I'm sure you'll do well. Best wishes.
