This is a pair of tusks that were in my possession for a while. They came from Kenya. Both tusks were slightly over 9 foot along the curves. There is a 4 pound difference. I'm holding the heavy tusk. Let the guessing begin! I will report when somebody guesses it.

Beautiful East African ivory. Lovely, but thinner so I'm going to say 76 and 72. Sorry if I shortchanged a beautiful pair.

Total 162, 88 and 84. I would shocked if they went over a 100 with all the taper but then again they all look big to me.

So, Dave, what is the weight? Am I correct that Chifuti will award a full bag 21 day hunt with trophy fees paid and you as the PH to the lucky winner! Big Grin

Dutch, you are the winner. I think you had insider info! 102 and 98 it was, weighed on official scales. They seemed to me to have a very small nerve cavity for such long ivory. They were truly a thing to behold. Just imagine tracking up to such a bull with a rifle in your hand! I wish I knew the first hand account of this hunt, hunter, and so forth. Would share if I did. Was a honor to run my hands over them, which I did a million times. Hope you guys enjoyed the pic!

Nice tusks. Without seeing the nerve cavity it is really hard to guess ivory within 5 lbs of actual weight.

Not to open up a can of worms, how in heck did you get a hold of Kenyan ivory?? (Feel free to ignore this question.)
