On my last trip I had no problems with my carry on baggage. In side my carryon I had the follwing: 4 spare rifle scopes in mounts. 2 pair binos. Rangefinder. 5 Surefire Flashlights, including 2 set up to mount on a rifle scope, and the M3 Guardian, about the size of a 2 D cell flashlight. 12 Petzal headlights [most for the trackers, PH and crew]. About 40 extra batterys for above lights, along with extra bulbs. My wife had 4 scopes in her carry on as well as binos etc. No problems at all. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

That must be more than $10K worth of stuff in your carry ons. ![]() My last 2 elephant hunts I did not even bother to take the binos out as they were not needed at all. Next trip they will stay at home. All I really need are 3 pair of undies, 3 t-shirts, 3 pair of socks and a toothbrush. If the checked luggage arrives that is fine, and if not I will rent a gun in Harare.

That is why they were in my carryon. Heck the bag only weighed 48 lbs. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY
