| He seems to have the most loyal and wealthy clients in africa. He charges full rate for the day you arrive and the day you leave. If money was no object he would be one of the ones you would consider but unfortunately im not in that class. |

| To the folks I know who have hunted with him money is not an issue. His rates are the highest I've seen. |

| I have no personal experience with Robin Hurt safaris. I have read and heard that they are a first class, 5 star outfit. A few years ago, a friend of mine (in her early 70s) in the Houstion Safari Club was thinking about buying a Cape Buff safari in Tanzania with Robin Hurt for her two sons (in their early 40s) as a gift to her sons. She would go along but would not hunt.
She told me she had contacted them and gotten a price quote. 2 hunters with 2 buff each, plus her going as observer. I believe it was for 21 (or maybe 30) days. She told me, "They seem like a really first class outfit and I was really impressed with their information but I don't know if I really want to spend $120,000." And, that was about 5 years ago. I'm sure prices have gone up. But, I do not know any of the prices for Hurt safaris.

| I've hunted with them several times in the '90s, they are top shelf and provide great camps, staff and PHs. Robin has many areas that include two in Masailand, several in the Rungwa region as well as in the western part of the country. I believe only TGT and Raoul Ramoni have more. RHS is not the most expensive operator in TZ these days, but are certainly not bargain basement! Like a lot of things in life, you get what you pay for. |

| Although Mr. Hurt has an excellent reputation, keep in mind that paying more does not guarantee that you will get more.
Personally I would rather have a full bag 21 or 30 day safari in Zim as there are several fellows there who produce fabulous results at a fraction of the cost of such a safari in Tanzania. |

| 500grs- While I agree there is some good hunting in Zimbabwe, they offer nowhere near the diversity of game that is on license in TZ. Can you get 3 buffalo on one 21 day hunt? In addition to that, TZ offers the East African plains game, such as lesser kudu, oryx, three types of gazelle, and gerenuk. If all you want to do is shoot an elephant or one buffalo, Zimbabwe is likely the better choice, or even Botswana if a really big elephant is the desired trophy. In today's safari world, I'd say Zambia is the only destination that can rival TZ, and then it still doesn't match it for species available nor does it offer any East African game. |

| I was looking over Hurt's 2006 literature recently (unfortunately, I do not have it now). Seems that he offers hunts in Namibia, Botswana and Europe, as well as Tanzania. As stated above, prices in Tanz are high, even for Tanzania. What stuck in my mind though, was that (if memory serves me correctly), he was asking about $11000 for 10 days in Namibia, daily rate only. Over $1000/day for Namibia?! That must REALLY be a first rate outfit. |

| I've known robin for several years & have the highest of respect for the man. His areas are excellent as are all portions of his camps and hunts. The other shoe is that robin does know how to charge. In tanz for instance if you want a 21-28 day hunt and want to include a lion you can expect to spend a bit less than 100 grand, but not much less. He can get by with it because he has that type of clients. As to old says goes, if you gotta ask you can't afford it. |

| That 1000/day doesn't get you a hunt with Hurt himself, just a hunt on his Namibian ranch. Heck, I might pay 1000 to hunt with RH himself, even in Namibia. |
