I for one am relieved. When I saw the thread title I was thinking this was going to be something like the "manzeer/bro" Seinfield episode ...

Buzz handles that .416 Rigby (11 pounds loaded with ammo and iron-sighted 24" barrel) like a leprechaun on steroids wielding a shamrock!
The short-barrel fascists should take note of what a lucky charm it has been for Buzz,
through all kinds of bush thrashing.
And always so cheerful and trying to make his goofy clients look good.
Great PH.
May the rainbow lead him to a pot of gold.
I cringed at the muzzle sweeping, especially of Buzz's back, in this and the next linked video.
Check out the 20-minute video showing 11 shots to kill an elephant, and the blarney the client spoke of it afterwards ...

Is it just my eyes, or when buzz shoots the ele the second time and then ejects, there is nothing left in the magazine...meaning that he only had 2 in the rifle to start?

That was a hell of an exciting segment...

You only need two. Just ask on the Double Rifle forum. Big Grin

I was worried it was more pics of the mankini! Just to put somethings into perspective. The client "A" is a hugely accomplished hunter who has hunted world over and several times with me. He bought out a associate "B" who would never have been able to afford coming to Africa and gave him a camera and mentioned he could try and film and I also had Justin filming.

Points of interest

1/ "A" would never have posted DVDs on U- Tube especially the second one with 11 shots ( I have not watched it as I dont have the patience to wait for it to up load here in Zim).

2/ Bad shots happen to the best but I do not think this is the type of thing that the general public should see- its bad for hunting- BUT it does happen- we all know that. So U- tube posters use you good judgement on what you post!

3/ Editing is a strong tool and you do not get to see the whole story- on the ele that charged down the hill- I had already given her a warning shot but she continued. That warning shot for what ever reason has been edited out- thats the 3 rd round.

4/"SWEEPING" of people in the group HAPPENS. Thats just a fact folks. You cannot hunt in bush that thick, strap or no strap , and not sweep someone- it must come down to making sure that safeties are always "on" or not have a bullet in the chamber. If we had done that I would not be here to tell the story- walking in the Zambezi Valley with an unloaded rifle is not an option.

5/ On the U- tube comments I was refereed to as " The dush-bag in sandals!!!!" You got to love it and marvel at how naive and narrow minded some of the other comments are!

Cheers Buzz

Alls well that ends well - the most exciting part to me was reading the ridiculous comments posted by viewers, I absolutely love them !! We cuss the anti hunters all the time, but holy crap, their chirps just reaffirm our superior intelligence over the morons !!!!!!!

I use a 416 Rigby, and have total faith in its ability. Had a similar incident in TZ back in 2006 - its a sweet calibre.
