Just got word via email that butchloc got his elephant on day number one of his safari! A 50-pounder. Don't know what he's doing to pass the rest of the time. I imagine they've found SOMETHING to do.  | ||

Bravo Butchloc! There's nothing like putting a primary species in the salt on the first day to take the pressure off. I did it with leopard a couple of years ago, and the rest of the trip became a true holiday. We took a few nice trophies in addition, but it was all like playtime...no "11th hour" pressure. Congrats!
