I have some photos of the Hagn Falling Block Double Rifle. I would like others to appreciate this wonderful creation.
Who will give me their email to send the photos to,so they can do a good job of posting them?

They will prove undeniably, that there is such a thing as love at first sight, and that dreams can and do come true!
this baby is worth a morgage on the family home.

Johan,
I just posted the pictures I don't have the originals. You might try saving the pictures and then using your photo editor zoom them.

A wonderful bit of gunsmithing to be sure. I would bet it shoots as well as it looks. Its a novel Idea. For one thing it would never come off face, I would think that he could build once for just about any cartridge. As for a price on it, I would hazard to guess, but it would be north of 60K I would think.

Has anyone shot one of these beauties? How is the reload time versus a "traditional" break-action double. Thanks for posting the pix.

I think that rifle was a one-off affair.

Thanks for sharing! beer

Also thanks for the link, Peter. thumb

Sorry if this is OT, but there were some really classy single shot rifles on that site Peter linked to. I was really thrilled by the Gastinne Renette Sidelock Ejector Single Shot Rifle 6.5x68R. Very interesting caliber not the least, but the mount looks a bit odd...

Martin

That sidelock in the picture above is a beauty. That also looks like almost zero eye relief on the scope

Like ForrestB posted above, I think that was a one-off project. However, if you are really interested, you can contact them through their website:

Marterius,

As a single shot rifle why does it have two triggers???

Perhaos the mandate was for a single trigger double rifle but the gunsmith had a few too many the night before!! Wink

By the way this Hagn double 7x57r weighs 6 1/2lb and groups 2"@100yds. Dont think it gets any better unless you had another in 9.3x74r@7 1/2lb. Big Grin
