Since July grants have been made to surviving family or PHs:
Anton Mzimba - Timbavati head game scout - assassinated;
Musi Myeni - tracker gored by wounded buffalo and later died;
Leon du Plessis - PH gored by wounded buffalo and recovering;
Roger Hurt - PH gored by buffalo and recovering; DeBruin Nienaber - PH attacked by wounded leopard and recovering; and to
PH Sebastian Wickers widowed fiancée.
Our heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives. We wish those injured a speedy and complete recovery. Let's hope there are no more tragic incidents such as these for the rest of the year.

Thanks to you and all involved. Also, prayers to all those affected.

Good Lord! My buddy & I just hunted with DeBruin Nienaber last Nov. in the Luangwa Valley, and this is news to us. Did this just happen since then? Thanks for any information!

Following up a wounded leopard. 6 days in hospital with very deep lacerations. Although hunting some wounds have not healed well. He had little idea where the cat came from.

Great work and kudos to the DSCF for their work in providing financial support to our Professional Hunter friends and their staff. A reminder to us all to dig deep and pay our respects as well by contributing to the foundation.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Precisely, my friend. I have this day done exactly that.

I can see the real and solid help provided, and gladly support it.

Words, without actions, are of some solace, but of little real use.
