This is sadly funny.

Although in the present circumstances, given the awful degree of elephant poaching throughout Africa, the blame for which lies chiefly, if not entirely, with China, I find it hard to laugh.

Trump deserves no credit or blame for the Coke.

Not yet.

But let's hope that our next President doesn't forget illegal trade in ivory when he renegotiates our trade deals with the Chinese.

We need to deal with and treat these despoilers of nature for what they are.

Maybe then, if Trump makes a good deal for us hunters, and for the elephants, and for the planet, maybe then, tembo will ask for something better.

Maybe even Champagne.

I hope I live to see that.

Poaching is the tip of the iceberg compared to the loss of habitat. Africa needs a birth rate that's a quarter of what it now is.
