You shot Jan Du Plessis????

Maybe some PH’s shoot when the client does because they know the client can’t shoot for piss and don’t want to go on a long trek at night for a wounded animal. I’m fine with that as long as he lets me shoot first.

I guess that’s why your PH said on your video,”come, George, come finish off your cow(buffalo)”. For sure, your trophy cow didn’t present a danger. When is you next photo safari?

If an animal bursts out at close quarters I have zero problem with the PH firing on him. That to me is his right of call! Additionally once I put a boiler room shot into a member of the dangerous group I also have no problem with the PH's back-up shot, because it may be the difference between letting him get away and maybe lost, or one of the party getting hurt or killed!

I have always made that clear to the PH before we leave camp on the first day. I find that most PHs know their business and are quite aware of the need to shoot or not!

I've had the PH help out a time or two.

They should shoot when it's necessary to avoid injury to people or to avoid unnecessary suffering. As long as I hit it first, I have no issues with them shooting.
