She is undoubtedly attractive but she is also more plastic than Barbie. Can't help thinking that her shows are phony!

Sprinbok: She's the real deal. She runs her own fly-fishing outfit here in the states. While I was in Dallas i got to talk with the outfit that took her on safari. She's a player! I thik a lot of the "chick stuf" she does is for our benefit. Be taht as it may, who cares! beats watching COUNTLESS boring bowhunting and shows with that UGLY Thompson Contender blackpowder stuff! jorge

I only got as far as the author's name. When I see a woman with two last names I think of two things, her husband's pussy-whipped and she hates men. I still enjoyed Cindi's pictures though and the fact she's the no-shit real thing. jorge

jorge,

Well, I enjoyed the article.

here's an excerpt:

----------------------------
...And with that, Garrison walked over to the Kulik Lodge booth.

They laughed when she said she had fly fished her whole life and wanted to be a guide. They laughed harder when she asked if they would hire her. They stopped laughing and whipped out a contract when she said she would work for room and board as an apprentice for one year if they would teach her everything they knew.

The only glitch was that Garrison only had $80 to her name. So she did the only thing she could think of: She called her dad. After she was through telling him her plan, there was a long pause on the other end of the phone. Garrison needed help, but she also knew her dad opposed getting anything for free. When Garrison’s dad finally spoke, he offered her a deal. Each of the girls had a few head of cattle at their grandparents’ ranch. She could sell part of her share and use the money to buy what she needed—waders, a fly rod, boots and a plane ticket to Alaska. Three cows covered the cost. “So, I got a bunch of Orvis stuff and flew up to Alaska and straight out to the lodge. And that’s what started my career.†Sort of.

It wasn’t long before Garrison was setting new goals. Her fourth year in Alaska, she started her own company, Garrison Adventures International, booking fishing, hunting and skiing trips all over the world. At this time, her family took a trip to Africa. While in Botswana, she told one of the outfitters (Rann Safaris) they were using that she would love to start booking trips for them and asked if there was any fly fishing in the area. They talked about the tiger fish, which look like a striped bass with big teeth, but they didn’t think you could fly fish for them. Garrison begged to differ.

Garrison stayed in Africa year-round for four years, only returning to attend the sportsmen shows and market her safaris. It was on one of those return trips, at the San Mateo ISE expo three years ago, that someone from ESPN approached her and said “We’ve heard about your safaris, and we’d like do a show with you.â€
----------------------------

A little bio info from http://www.msff.org/expo/press_release.html :

Beginning in 1998 and continuing through 2003, Cindy managed the camps of Rann Safaris, the largest hunting safari operator in Botswana. She also founded and continues to operate Safari Anglers, a company that guides anglers in pursuit of Africa’s famed Tiger Fish.
It was during a trade show in the United States in 2002 that Cindy was “discoveredâ€. Cindy was exhibiting for Safari Anglers and met an ESPN consultant who was looking for an exotic destination for ESPN2’s new series, In Search of Fly Water. Three months later, ESPN2 was filming in Botswana with Cindy as guide.

I think somebody ought to sponsor a bikini clad mud wrestling contest between Cindy Garrison and PETA spokesperson Pamela Anderson.

That way you would get a little culture into the forum.

So true, I am so sick of bowhunting on TV. Glad to see a hot rifle hunter like Cindy.

Thank God she'll be back in July. That's about the time we finally get rid of those "hunt dem turkeys" shows on OLN. Like I said before, if she could swim with a duck in her mouth she'd be perfect.

Is anyone producing a DVD of the show?

I jusg got the first 3 seasons of Guns and Ammo TV (Season 1 was boring but Season 3 is awesome), and the 2005 season of American Whitetail (super boring, too much bowhunting).

Maybe I'm not politically correct, but beeing Italian I do not have these problems, or at least we do not consider they so important, but at by my opinion I would prefer a AR "No Swimsuit" calendar. Big Grin

I know this thread is old, but....I sit down to watch Cindy with my five year old granddaughter. She watches every minute with rapt attention. I think it is great that she can see an independent lady who hunts, fishes and explores the world. Not a bad thing for a young girl. There are a bunch of guys out there doing this, but if our daughters and granddaughters don't see Cindy's they will become Barbies.

That is not fair at all.

Cindy shows she has brains. Pamela has proven she has not!

Dear Saeed,

My reasons for wanting to see Cindy mud wrestle with Pamela are purely intellectual. Cindy would represent the hunters and Pamela the anti-hunters. If they were both dressed in string bikinis it wouldn't be long before we got to the bottom of the issue.
