Saeed:
I get hate mails every week on my website from the anti hunters. With AR so huge, how many do you get and do you reply to any? Just ignore them? I'm curious, how many do you get in a month?

I get very few.
The polite ones I answer, rude and ranting ones I put on my spam filter and never get any more.
Most of the ones I actually answer do get back with much lower tone of disagreement.

shakariFWIW, we had one of the typical anti hunting hate mail campaigns last year with over 500 abusive messages....... the threatening ones were sent to their ISPs & police, non threatening but abusive ones ignored & only 3 were prepared to discuss the subject sensibly & all 3 finally accepted the logic of African sport hunting as a tool for conservation.
On the other hand, I recently also had a Farcebook attack from two sanctimonious do-gooding vegan halfwit types who posted details of my book which was picked up by the search engines and resulted in a 400% increase in book sales for several weeks so I'm grateful to them for that!

Some of you might remember that Australian woman who sent me a nasty email.
I posted her email here, with all her details.
She claimed to be a profession at a some university.
It turned out she wasn't, and some of our members wrote to her university, and she got a bit of a nasty surprise.
She the wrote back to me saying that she had not given me permission to make her nasty mail, and her details public.
I wrote back to her and told her I never had any confidentiality agreement with her, and anything she sends me will be made public.
Then it turned out she was one of those really big liars, claiming all sorts of things she had done, which turned out not to be true.
I bet she hasn't written any nasty mails to any website after that
And this all came about because she was looking for information on black mambas!!

I am about 63/64 Irish and 1/64 Cherokee, escapees all, from either England or the reservation.
One-half of me Irish blood, Mother's side, is from ex-English-Royalists who had to flee to Ireland when King Charles was beheaded.
The other half of me Irish blood was Puritan that landed in Virginia in 1607, and got a little Cherokee admixture in the late 1800's.

AtkinsonI get a number of them..I usually reply giving our side of the story, and they always seem amazed once they find out how all this game management and money does more for the game than all their hate mail...
On occasion you get a idiot I trash them to the Spam. Most of the time Im amazed at the interest they develop when you explain your operation, even a letter from one mom thinking me for the trouble of explaining to her son the reality of life..I still get an ocassional email from that kid, asking how Im doing and telling me of his new found interest including a picture of his first deer with his dad...That was a five star for out side of the equasion.
