jdollarvarying hunting license fees.
has anyone besides me noticed that different outfitters in the same country charge different amounts for the government hunting license? maybe the government fees vary from province/ area to province/area but i know i have seen varying charges applied in the same province. same thing with fees charged for gun import permits- which should be a flat rate countrywide. just curious.

500nitroJD,
we have 9 different provinces and effectively 9 different ordinances, some of which are pretty similar.
The licence fees differ vastly.
eg a KZN licence which allows you to shoot guineafowl in season costs about $1.50, while the same licence in the Free State is over $10.
Gun import facilitation is a service. It costs nothing from the government. But several companies are making a living out of processing and arranging the documentation, and meeting and greeting visiting hunters, and charge what they believe their time and effort is worth.
Hope this helps.

Tom In TennesseeI for one, would just like RSA to come up with a unified regulation for licensing a PH rather than the current registered by Province reg....I would hope the PHASA would support such a regulation.
