I have singed my hair, burned myself, and filed and sanded til my fingers are raw and (in one case) bleeding. Not to mention made myself unpopular with the Mrs because in the heat of it all I forgot our anniversary. All this to regulate, finish and blue a set of 12 rifled bbls for a sidelock Lefever. This is a project I started some time ago and now that it's nearly done, I am wondering who has used a 12 bore double rifle in anger, with what load, and on what quarry? (I have been using 500 Gr Lyman saboted slugs - the ones that look like oversize airgun pellets - and they get up to around 1500 fps out of a 24" bbl).
