My wife and I will be attending our first SCI Convention in Reno next week. I will be actively shopping for my second safari -- a "bargin" buffalo/leopard hunt. My wife will just be along for the ride.

Anybody got any tips on things to see at the convention that would interest my wife? I hate to just drag her around from booth to booth while I do all the talking. Are there any interactive exhibits of interest to the non-hunter?

We are only going to one SCI evening function (Ollie North) in order to leave time for dinner shows and gambling (another concession to the little woman). Anybody know who has the best floor shows?

In any event, I'll be at the Barns booth on Friday to put some faces with names I see so often on this forum. See you there. (That was 2:00 p.m., wasn't it?)

Lisa (my loving wife) has been the last couple of times that I've gone. She's NOT a hunter and she really enjoys it. There's lots of bobbles, art, clothing, etc...

I say drag your better half around for a day. Then she can decide if she wants to attend the next days. If not then she can gamble your future hunts away at the tables.

(And it's 3:00..! 3:00!! Wink

Looking forward to meeting you,

-Steve

Check the artists, jewelry, furs, and furnishings vendors.

You are all more than welocme to join myself and my company Friday night for a get together and party if you are looking for something to do. I am having a get togther and party for all my past, present and future clients that will be at the show, along with some of my PH's etc if you are interested in having something to do, and also meet with some other dedicated hunters and their wives. Your wives might enjoy meeting others and getting to hear some of their stories from hunts that they have done with us as well.

So, you are invited and welocome if you are interested. Just come by my booth's at 446-452 and see us there and will give you a pass for the party and give you the details. There will be over 50 of our clients there between 6-11 pm and am sure you will have a great time.

Anyone else on this forun who might be interested in meeting me and some of our staff and might be interested in a future safari with us, just let me know or come by and see us, and will also give you a pass for the party as well. We will have food, open bar and plenty of stories to keep you busy.

Adam: Will be stopping by to chat about a DG hunt for '06 or '07. Have a short list of those who really interest me, who I need to visit with. Had hoped to find time in San Antonio to visit around the holidays, but we extended our deer/turkey trip in Uvalde and only the girls went up. It's hard to fit all that fishing and hunting into a 2 week trip each year. I am bringing my oldest son to Reno for the first time, to finalize a Namibia PG hunt for their 10th anniversary trip.

Look forward to it. Plan on joining us Friday night if you want to meet several of my clients, but with an open bar at the party I can not guarantee all true stories! We have plenty of leather couches in our booth's so come take a load off will see what we might have for you.
