Bought

A trip back to the Save Conservancy with Save Safaris - the details of the hunt - what to hunt and when to hunt will be determined by SubSailor74/admiral and Leon DuPlessis and Mike Paynes schedule. Only thing I want to shoot is a bush pig.

Will try and go to tholo to hunt with Jason

May buy

Blaser rifle but it is too political - Biebs and Clive Eaton like it - nearly everyone else hates it. There is no middle ground.

Got fitted for another VC - 375 flanged maybe. But then the beretta marc newsome side by side shotgun was pretty cool too.

Alaska for Brown bear in 2016-2017 maybe

Side note

I picked up my Buffalo table horn mount from TriState taxidermy and walked it out of the show

Great seeing and talking to Wayne LaPiere from the NRA at the show

Not one of the brave zim phs (there were a dozen) admitted to being professional hunters and killing animals when we were out after the show talking to non hunters.

Meopta rifle scope, snap caps, & a knife. Also, more planning for my 2016 trophy bull elephant hunt in Namibia with Ndumo Safaris. Plus some future planning for a leopard hunt with Chifuti Safaris (with son & grandson). My wife said that's the least amount of stuff brought home from Dallas in years. I'm either getting older or I'm going broke - either way, not good.

I thought the food on the convention floor was better than previous years. I bought two barbecue sandwiches and two beers for $35, the wife and I agreed they were pretty good. I bought some fudge at the booth that was selling jerky and fudge. It was pretty good fudge. Picked up some business cards from exhibitors and plan to make some purchases after the convention.

Rock Island Auction had a Winchester 21 I wanted. But I have to wait to bid.

My wife snagged a great elephant necklace from one of the custom jewelers.

One thing we liked was the pictures transferred on to metal. We will get that done.

Small bracelet - for my wife.
Leopard hunt - for my wife.
Leica illuminated reticle scope - for (you guessed it)

Got outbid on Namibia plains game hunts three times. And also on a tranq rhino hunt. Made me smile because the auctions went well.

Had the honor this morning at breakfast to spend a couple of minutes with Dr. Red Duke, at an adjacent table.

Fishing trips to Namibia, British Columbia and Northern Argentina. I'll add plains game to the Namibia trip and ducks to the Argentina trip, if possible.

I've never been a fly fisherman, but the lure of golden dorado and Canadian rainbow are enough to make me give it a shot.

We did not buy this year but we got to see it. I bought this London's Best in 275 Rigby for Clara for our 20th anniversary this year. When Marc took over as Director of Rigby, I knew I wanted to buy a Rigby rifle from him. He has a knowledge and passion for how things should be if they are going to carry the Rigby name.

Marc and I talked about how we wanted this rifle for about 2 years. We went stalking with Marc's father in Scotland year before last (great hunt!) and went to London to visit Rigby. Marc used a test gun to unknowingly get Clara's measurements for this rifle.

This picture shows the most beautiful person in my life holding the most beautiful rifle we have ever owned.
