I made my annual pilgrimage to hunt Nilgai again in south Texas. Once again, L&L Hunting Adventures came through with a great hunt on the Yturria Ranch. These blue bulls are free-ranging, tough and a blast to hunt. Here are a few pictures of the bulls we took. On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died. If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch... Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! - Rudyard Kipling Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.

And we saw some fantastic whitetail as well. No deer hunting on the ranch. Too bad. - Rudyard Kipling Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.

bwanamrm, Thanks for sharing. I have always wanted to do the nilgai hunt (and dreamed of feral cattle, but know that is unrealistic, I reckon). How much does a nilgai hunt cost, and how is the meat? Please.
