Just thought I'd let everyone with a big bore know that Graf & Sons (1-800-531-2666) has Speer African Grand Slam bullets on sale. .416 400 Gr. softs - $65.99, solids $82.99. .458 - 500 Gr. softs $75.99

I believe that is for 25 bullets. They (Speer) are nuts. Thats why Grand Slams aren't selling. Someone recently mentioned that Speer was going to discontinue the line. I think reloaders have discontinued the bullets for them. Too many good alternatives out there at 1/3rd the price.

Everybody has opinions on everything but the solids are the only ones that I have seen that do not bend, rivet, etc. What was the recent report from BigB about his Trophy Bonded solids riveting?

The .458 solids are coveted by the guys doing serious elephant hunting in Africa.

Yeah, it is tough to compete at at 4 to 8 times the price of other solids, but they are good bullets. Whether they are worth it is a tough call.
