Yes, Johnn was very lucky he was able to bag two ele cows with only one ele cow permit in his hands. clap

They came upon a cow with half her trunk missing and the gamescout said that he could end her misery without any enquiry into the matter. So he shot her and still had his permit to use which he did. beer

FROM NITROX:

Just some quick comments. I am using Jaco Human's PC in Jo'burg.

Took a nice sized tuskless cow elephant on the last day which was my "official" quota trophy ele. But was lucky to run into a tuskless cow ele which needed to be shot on day 3 which was some fun with the rest of the herd. There was a chance of a PAC elephant as well but an overturned truck on a mountain road prevented us from getting there.

Elephant hunting is a true addiction.

Hunted also with KarlS (Ndumo) in Namibia in the Kalahari and near Windhoek. Took a mixed bag of gemsbok, springbok, hartebeest and warthog - twelve animals in total. So much for not wanting to bring any trophies back from this trip!

Namibia is a very nice place to hunt plains game on safari.

Will post lots of photos, stories plus in the future maybe some video footage when I get back in two weeks.

Also good to meet a few of the local lads last night at dinner at Jaco's house.

Good hunting.

Got back last night to Australia after a long series of flights lasting more than 24 hours in total including airport time.

Forget to mention, almost could have shot an elephant bull for free too. We had a little mishap on the drive out - one of the front tyres fell off the vehicle on a mountain road so ended up at a different camp for another night in the same concession. The PH paid for a charter flight out to make sure I made the connection. Anyway it appears the camp manager of the other camp was supposed to have told us of an elephant bull that needed shooting. Would have been a REAL challenge however as the bull was stuck in the mud of Lake Kariba near our original camp! Would however had made "interesting" filming possibilities with probably an angry but immobile bull elephant. Imagine the 'conned' filming possibilities - death defying charge at close range! Big Grin
