Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Seems soft jackets are preferred to FMJ's for leopards in trees.

That's the weirdest thing! While hunting in Zim in '05, we came across what was potentially a body that a leopard had stuffed up in a tree. Turned out to be a brown jacket with red lining. This entire time I kept wondering why someone would go to the trouble to climb that far up into a tree to leave a jacket, now I know...

I think thats the cats paw. It looked like a shoe at first glance to me as well.
The cat sure looks happy.

That is interesting. I don't think the owner desires to reclaim it...assuming he can. homer

Those are great pictures!

On one of my hunts, I think it was our cameraman who lost his jacket off the back of the truck. We retrieved it some days later, but the hyena had gotten to it and chewed it up, and had eaten the stuffing. Pretty funny.

Some Leopards are just more stylish than others, this one is a clothes horse, and he obviously purchased his jacket legally or shoplifted it at Neman Marcus, as it is void of blood, thats your first clue! beer

It reminds of when my cat (the one in my avatar) lies down on the fresh clothes that I've laid out. I guess all cats are drawn to soft, comfortable things.
