Perhaps SCI should win the "Dodo Bird Award" for coming up with this idea.

Everyone's a winner mentality I guess. What next mushrooms and butterflies? Only if legally sought and harvested with proper permits of course...

Do not insult the birds!

Even the DODO, being long dead, has more brains than the sorry collection of idiots running SCI!

You would imagine they would have learnt something by now.

I am the recipient of the first Platinum Ring of Diamonds Outer Circle of Winged Crowns of Glory award, and am deeply offended by this commentary.

You will all soon hear from my lawyers, from the firm of Perazzi & Purdey LLP.

Just another method for this shit-wad organizaton to raise even more money from the thimble brains who need to get an award for their kills. This is even more ammo for the antis.

Oh for cripes sake... I wonder if any of you read what it is.... take photos of birds you have shot so you get a plaque stating you took a wide variety of different birds. I see folks here posting up stuff like that.

It interests me not at all, but it’s not a “record book” for the largest mallard or something.

The guys measuring Turkey have been doing that like big game for some time.

There are plenty of warts to SCI, but this is really not one. It’s also been out for a couple of years, so hardly new.

Don’t like it, don’t do it. My waterfowl collection is quite modest, but it’s only breeding plumage birds that I’ve shot at my place. Other folks have a heck of a lot more.

The"Game Bird Committee" seemed to be ignorant of what is a game bird, and what is not.

They do not mentioned the Band-Tailed Pigeon of North America, but include ground doves, which are not legal game in most (all?) of North America.

They ignore the Caribbean, which has a long history of bird shooting and a number of excellent species of game birds - - the White Crowned Pigeon, Caribbean Dove, Zenaida Dove, Blue Pigeon...

I didn't look at the entire world listing, but many birds are recognizably NOT game birds.
