Am I allowed to say I don't like it? I think it's a real pig. Try the search function.

Sure it’s all right to have an opinion, I don’t mine. Just looking for input. I’m interested in what people think about them and why.

I just received mine after waiting since Christmas for it to come in. Got the predator HP version. This "pig" can shoot. Wish I had more pigs like it. Right now using remington match ammo with 168 siera match king shoots about .5 MOA with a Weaver FFP scope on it. Will be trying 8028 XTB with this bullet for reloading. Also ordered the 243 upper for it. I hope it shoots the same as well.

Just got the 243 upper in and started to shoot this and it does as well as the 308 upper. Have a NF scope on this one, shooting Federal premium ammo with 70 gr BT. Getting better than .5 MOA with this load on a couple of groups. Will be trying to duplicate this load if possible.

I purchased a LAR 8 in the Predator 20" model about 6 months ago. With tuned loads it's a very consistent 0.6 MOA rifle. With off the shelf ammo it's probably a 1-2 MOA rifle depending on the quality of the load. The trigger is a very good two stage. I initially had an issue with the bolt staying open after emptying the magazine. A trip back to the factory solved that problem for most loads. They appear to have polished the chamber and bottom of the bolt carrier. RRA paid for shipping both ways and returned it to me quickly... I spoke with the RRA service tech again recently about the occasional failure to lock open when testing different loads and powders. He indicated they would be glad to bring it back and resolve the issue completely. I took the rifle hunting last weekend and killed a nice Axis buck with it. Now that trip is over, I plan to send it back so they can resolve the occasional failure to lock open on an empty magazine. The DPMS 308 rifles tend to be as accurate as my RRA LAR-8. I also aware of a "feed" problem with a friend's DPMS that was fixed with a return to the factory. Cliff NRA Life Member CMP Distinguished Rifleman NRA Master, Short and Long Range

It's an excellent rifle unto itself. What I don't like is RR only accessories and the fact that it's not beter than the original (Armalite) for the cost. IMHO you cant touch a 16" Armalite for actual dirty work (and I don't go for this heavy rifle for that kind deal I go 6.8SPC). IMHO where Armalite shines is with the AR-10T in 18-20" heavy barrel. I have 3 AR-10's. Eagle Arms (Armalite Costos model) I get 1.5 out of with Fed GGM; Armalite 10-T that shoots .5 5 shot all day with Fed GGM, my loads, or Win GMM; and a Noveske barreled rig I built....Noveske is a 18" H-Bar and .25 happens every now and then but .5 is the usual. I'm using Nightforce 56MM NSX in NSX rings. And a Sinclainr rest with a solid rear rest. Conditions are ideal. Not a tactical situcation, benchrest only for those numbers. But they are legit, and both the 10-T and Noveske repeat these numbers in 30F to 85F. even thought I bulit my Noveske, and Noveske id a demi-god to me, for the dollars you can't touch the Armalite 10-T. Just mt 2 cents.
