Hey guys,
Looking to build a project and want a 5.56 or 6.8 spc and have the money for the reciever but i'm not sure which one i will build yet! My Remington R-15 is marked cal- MULTI but it only comes in MAX-1 camo and I want a black rifle. Who else stamps there lowers as "MULTI"?

There are a few of us in my area that build 15's and not aware of lowers marked as "multi..." I am not super particular as to what brand of lower used so long as it is of proper spec and well finished. There is a whole host of quality lowers that permit switching uppers to lots of calibers/configurations. Armalite 15 lowers are available now, Rock River, Bushmaster, DPMS, etc. and one of those would be my choice. Fulton Armory or Compass Lake are excellent lowers. Good luck.

Blackheart International here in WV has lowers on sale and they're marked as "Multi" caliber.

I don't personally know about their quality but I've been tempted to get one due to the WV outline in the logo. Big Grin

Why are they caliber marked at all? Every other gun I can think of is marked on the barrel.

I've come to understand that federal law requires the caliber to be marked on the barrel. In the case of ARs, that's not always practical. I think if you look, you might find the caliber marked on the barrel, but that marking is under the handguard. It might also be in front of the gas block, but don't quote me. I suppose ARs are marked on the receiver because that's about the best place to put it on a gun that can have so many different calibers used in the lower...

The least expensive lowers that have good reviews, are marked Multi and have pictograph markings are from Aero:

Are $80 each in ones.

I have a "Spikes Tactical" marked Multi with a select fire safety.

Gonna make a 458 SOCOM pistol out of it. And yes, it's on my NY State permit as "Multi"
