I am looking for a comprehensive list of cartridges that can used on AR-15 platform.
Just to be clear, I am only looking for the AR-15 not the AR-10.
Any help is appreciated.

If you include the wildcats, the list is almost endless. Factory cartridges are another matter...

Gosh, there are three, four common bolt face diameters, the 223 family, the 30 rem family, the 762-39 family and the and the sister of the Beowulf ( name escapes me right now-a 6.5 diameter short stubby case)

As long as the case OAL stays below about 1.75", about any caliber up to 30 can be made to work with varying results ( okay, a 5 and a 45 too, but my revolvers work about as good...

Some makers stay away form the fat one ( age slipping in as I cannot still recall the name) as the chamber and bolt wall get cut rather thin to accommodate the larger diameter.

A few in the 30 rem diameter family are real performers comparatively- the 6 hagar, the 240 tomahawk, the 220 thunder bolt all push mag length fairly heavy for caliber ( 95s in the 6mm, 80s in the 22 cal) at near standard short action cartridge speeds.

The 6 Hagar has won the NRA across the course nationals a few times, the 22 cal varieties are showing strongly as well in 200-300, 600 yard competition.

The lowly 223 ( w/ match chambers like the Wylde, Compass lake and AMU) all handle up to 80, even 90 grain bullets and I get solid velocities from my AR15A2 National Match 20 inch service rifle- 80 Amax going 2830 w/o popping primers. They actually go faster than the mag length 75 BTHPs (2730 fs) I use for 200- and 300, sometimes 600 and critters.
