Which 7.62x51 AR Rifle
The most reasonable choices seem to be DPMS, Armalite, and Rock River Arms. Any opinions as to which route to go?

arkypeteI have two Armalites, the AR10t and the AR10a4
Both fuction well, are accurate, no problems other then the triggers. I replaced the triggers with Jards.
I use an EOtech on the AR10a4 with good results and an IOR 10X on the AR10t.

A friend of mine bought both the Armalite 7.62 carbine and rifle when they came out. When scoped, both were MOA rifles with handloads. They used modified M-1a mags and were very reliable. It would be my choice.

TreeFarmerI have both a DPMS LR-308 and a LR-308T as well as a FN FNAR. The FNAR is the most accurate and none of the 3 have given any problems.

Turk1961Looking at the FNAR myself. What can you tell me about them? Scope mounting notes? Any damage to the fired cases? I reload. What factory loads shot the best?
Thanks,
Richard

Idaho SharpshooterI bought the DPMS LR HB model with the 24" heavy fluted barrel. They take the MagPul magazines and this one is very accurate. I had a couple boxes of Black Hills 168gr Match HP on the shelf, and with my B&L 8-32X dialed all the way up, it will stick 5 in about 5/8ths of an inch at 100 and under an inch at 200.
It now has about 250 rounds thru it with zero feeding or ejecting issues, using five different MagPul magazines, and the two steel ones that came with it. My initial loads with the fired brass went thru a standard 308 FL die easy.
LAR had one at the SHOT Show, it looked very well made.
