I'm trying to find an M1A in the "loaded" blue/walnut configuration and am having a hell of a time locating one. Anybody have any suggestions other than I should have been looking a year ago?

I've been after a nice Springfield M-1A for a while, and this past week the shop near me had gotten this one in so I grabbed it. They only produced 500 total. They also had a matching serial numbered Stainless 1911, and while I have a Colt Gold Cup, I'm not too much into 1911's. I'll have to pick up a couple of 20 round mags for it. Really a unique rifle. I was told that Springfield Armory is almost 2 YEARS behind on orders for the M-1A rifle. Needless to say I jumped when he called me to say he had just gotten this one in! Bill T.

I would contact all the gunstores with in driving distance and tell them what you want. Then I would find a local store that would agree to accet an M1-A shied to you from an out of state dealer. Then get on the web/hone and track one down. Have funds ready. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY
