Neighbor asked me to sell these for him. Both appear in very good shape. I see the values are all over the place. I've got some research to do! :-)

So much of these gun's values depend on originality of the parts and which manfacturer made them. (Especially the Garand)

My first centerfire rifle was an Eddystone with poor bore. Dad ordered it for me from Sears for $30 about 1966. I was a thrilled 13-year-old kid.

Bill, if you were 13 years old, was it a flintlock? :-)

Values are all over. The 1903 could be a crayfish hole barrel parts gun, or a pristine email, or a sporter... with a wild range of price and value

A garand? Details are everything.. maker, period, completeness of same vendor parts, DCM or not, grade or not...

Not any help, I know. Just letting you know it's a wide range of quality and opinions to drive the price...


Garands are fun to shoot, but I never got the fever around them

Jeff, I took the Garand to a collector. We will disassemble it and note all the part markings. It's supposed to be "numbers matching" according to the owner, but you know how that goes.
