Stopped by a local gun shop tonite and they had just received three rifles from Bushmaster.
One was a bit different, it was a new manufactured rifle but sported a pinned folding stock (yuck), psuedo flash suppressor that was actually a muzzle brake (gag!), and a five round magazine (wretch!!).
The new President is saying he won't infringe on our rights, the Dems don't have a veto proof lock on the Senate, but apparently there's already a gun company knuckling under. Mad

An AWB ain't gonna happen any time soon. It would cost Obama most all of his political capital to push an AWB through Congress. That's a check even he don't want to cash right now. I know a lot of people are screaming the sky is falling right now. Think for yourself.

If Bushmaster wants to see unsold rifles on the shelfs They should continue to build rifles like you describe. I bet the other makers don't. coffee

Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I would use all those bad features to try and beat down the price. Then I'd buy it and pull the pin out of the folder and replace the brake with a GI A2.

It's all good! Cool

They do make guns legal for sale in CA. Maybe it was shipped incorrectly??

I got hold of a Bushmaster catalog and they still produce "Postban" guns for those jurisdictions that require the limitations.

Sorry about whinning out loud, but it was jarring to see one of those type rifles again. Eeker tsturm is probably right, or Bushmaster is just putting out as many rifles as they can as quickly as possible.

Actually, I don't mind the replacement of the flash hider with something like a Smiths Enterprises brake. But that's only me and I don't expect it should be a legal requirement!!!!

The whole idea of an AWB leaves me cold as ice. We're entering very difficult times ... thanks to folks who think their answer is "good" for everyone. Heaven Help Us!
