Is there a probability that the Springfield M1A will be banned if Obama is elected?

Anything that goes bang and launchges a projectile will be banned under The Kenyan Bastard. Buy your kid a little popgun now, so he can tell stories about it when he has a son...

If o bummer gets elected and the dihms get the house and senate, you can count on it getting banned. Biden was one of the authors of the first ban.

I would buy it now.

If you want it as a Personal protection rifle I recommend the 18" bbled one.

They seem to shoot better than the SOCOM.

Buy plenty of Govt. 20 round magazines and some ammo as well.

Also get a few 10 round magazines for sporting use.

I have never shot a M1-A that did not shoot standard hunting ammo with 100% reliability.

Good advice. I think it will be an early Christmas present to myself.

IMHO everyone needs at least one Sport Utillity Rifle and if the M1A is your favorite flavor you should get one before it's too late...

DPMS has 3-6 month wait on AR15 receivers right now. I suspect Springfield would be just as busy. I would check availability and order now.

You will probably need the M1A if there are riots on election night, so buy it now, with 11 magazines and 1000 rounds of ammo. thumb

Yes, three shops owned by friends all report their firearm sales are through the roof....in anticipation of the election, and potential civil unrest if it goes against the "people"...

At the risk of repeating what has already been said, I can't overemphacize the necessity of availing oneseslf of a rapid fire, high-cap weapon. Looks like Obama will win and there is absolutely no telling what will happen after that.

I'm stockpiling ammo and components as I can afford them. Remember, in Illinois Obama voted to ban most types of hunting ammunition. It is my sincere belief that he intends to embark on a progressive program to disarm Americans. Then, he can move forward with his socialistic/communistic agenda of total governmental control over our lives. Any gun owner worth the name should truly fear an Obama presidency.

I got banned for commenting on a certain persons willingness to support anti-gun candidates on a shooting related board.
