Took my MSAR to the range last week. Functioned well. I has a Magpul slanted grip on the front of the rifle. I notice I had some gas residue on my fingers after the session. Is it normal to get gas blown forward out of the adjustment? Rusty We Band of Brothers! DRSS, NRA & SCI Life Member "I am rejoiced at my fate. Rusty, I used to shoot a Steyr AUG quite a bit, and I think the gas system is similar if not the same on the MSAR. The AUG does vent excess gas out the front of the piston housing. I would guess the MSAR does too. What type of ammo were you shooting? DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY | |||

Bulk 223 55 grain. If I were using the standard stick forearm grip I wouldn't notice it. However with the Magpul slanted grip it puts your fingers closed enough to make them with carbon!
