I have been looking at getting a POF (Patriot Ordnance Factory) .223 upper for a lower I built. Do any of you have any experience with them? They are high dollar. I have handled them and talked to the owner at the Crossroads of the West Gun Show here in Phoenix about a year ago. I am specifically looking at an 11 or 9 inch barrel just for something fun. Yes... I have the paper work for the lower in process.

I have an 18" POF upper that I totally love. Haven't wrung it out yet to find its favorite load but with American Eagle 63gr soft points I can keep my groups easily inside an inch at 100 yards. Its very easy to keep clean just like they advertise. They also say you don't need to lube but force of habit keeps me coating things very lightly with a silicone spray or Rigg. Some people poopoo the piston system and claim carrier tilt is a bugaboo but personally if it is I'm not concerned. Lots of people have many thousands of rounds on these guns with no problems. Shoot and enjoy.
