I know where the number 4 of the 10 that where the test guns for the military tests is. To my knowledge, there are only 2 of the ten known to still be intact. One is at the Mauser plant display, and the other one is this one and has been verified and used for referance books on the subject. My questin is, what is something like this worth? I know the owner well, and we have know idea what something like this might bring if it came up for sale. Any ideas? It is not for sale now, but how would one market the sale of something like this. Thanks.

My thoughts would be one of the high end auction houses would bring the best price. I don't mean local guys, but ones like Julia, Butterfield, Greg Martin, etc. They advertise heavily and attract the type buyer who will be interested and have the $$ to purchase something like this. They also have the expertise and experience to be able to give you a reasonably accurate price range of what it should bring.
