I have been looking at one of these bolt action rifles and wondered what it is worth? The rifle is in good condition, a small ding on the end of the barrel but that does not affect the crown. Wood work is good, bore seems to be very good, open sights, the 98 action bolt looks a little rough but it functions very smoothly. The rifle apparently belonged to a well known Native Commissioner in Tanzania. It is obviously one of Cogwells lower end rifles but its very clean, shoulders very well and just looks to me to be a really nice, basic, British bolt action rifle. Any ideas on the value would be greatly appreciated. | ||
