cooey lever action need advice quick
Well it seems an old feller I talked to has a cooey lever action rifle. It's called a wagoneer-- I think. Anyway he wants a hundred bucks for it-that's not much. If it's worth much more I'll give him more for it. I may give it to my nephew but I don't want to rip off an old gent.

any ideas on its worth? I haven't run across that one before. I doubt that a cooey is worth very much.

Hi Chef;
You sure this thing is a Cooey? I've never heard of such a thing and, looking in the 1959 S.I.R. catalogue, I don't see one listed. Also, I"ve never heard of Cooey giving their models names. Somehow, the name Wagoneer is associated with Colt in my Halfheimer mind. I see they marketed a semi-auto under the name of Colteer at one time.

Well, I haven't seen it yet. I was talking to him on the phone...he says it's a cooey. I've never heard of a lever cooey though..... I guess I'll pop over tomorrow and take a look.

Th winchester guns were made and sold in Canada under that name. As I recall it was "Cooley".
Good luck!
