I have a Browning Safari Grade in mint condition chambered in 284 win. It has been fired 7 times to sight in the scope, and them has hung on the wall since. What is the currant value of such a gun in lets say 99% condition? Thanks for the info.

According to Blue Book 24th-ed 100% 1,550 98% 1,200. I only buy that book every 5 years, or so since with few exceptions nothing changes in it, and I don't give a .... about new models coming out. Assuming salt-free wood I would tag it at $1800.
I traded a Safari .284 (probably 95-98% condition) away in about 1990 for three mint M77 Rugers (7x57, .308 Mann, .458 Win) and a S&W Model 39. I'd say that whatever that trade was worth then, it should be similar now. So, add up the value of the Rugers and Smith and you should be pretty close.
